In May of 1983, Alvin and Elva Martin officially baked the first pretzels here at Uncle Henry’s. Their son, Alvin Martin, was involved from day one at just 17 years old. In 1997, Alvin and his wife purchased the bakery and remain the current owners today. Now, the third generation is involved with a desire to continue the legacy of the handmade pretzel. Through the years, the family recipe has remained unchanged — the same artisan sourdough hard pretzels with the classic crunch we’ve known for decades.
Uncle Henry’s Pretzel Bakery has been crafting delicious hand-twisted Pennsylvania Dutch pretzels in Mohnton, Lancaster County, PA, since 1983. Located at 1550 Bowmansville Road, offering our authentic pretzels to customers across the country through our online store and in brick-and-mortar stores nationally.
